BRFC 2009 AWARDS

Matthew Irvine was presented this season's 1st XV Player of the Year award at the BRFC Formal held in the Belmont on Friday evening. Mark Ferguson collected the 5th XV Player of the Year as well as being awarded the Tamati Shield for being the top try scorer across the club this season.John Spiers was awarded Club Honours in recognition of his hard work for the club over the years, and in particular his fund raising efforts.Paul Ross won Most Improved Player, while Ashley Finlay was awarded the Best Newcomer Award.The Under 18s won Team of the Season, and Irish Youth representative Jonny Murphy was presented with a framed photo in recognition of his selection to represent Ireland at the European Championships.Craig Mulholland, Andy Cowan and Alastair Lewis were awarded 2nd XV, 3rd XV and 4th XV awards respectively.
