BANN TRIUMPH IN LINDSAY CARS MINI RUGBY BLITZ
Banbridge hosted this year’s Lindsay Cars Mini Rugby Blitz which was played out in dry sunny conditions at Rifle Park last Saturday.Ballynahinch, Dromore and Lisburn made up the quartet of clubs providing teams at every level from P2/3 to Maxi (Under-12), with a total of over 500 players taking part. And it was the home club that eventually triumphed after the teams had played a total of 36 games in over two hours to entertain a big crowd of parents and supporters.Bann’s record of 14 wins and a draw from their 18 games saw them take the honours with Ballynahinch in second place.Gregory Whan from Lindsay Cars presented the trophy to the captain of Bann Maxis, James Waugh, to round off a great morning’s rugby.Photographs courtesy of Paul McCambridge.
